Preamble
In the spirit of unity, knowledge, and the timeless values espoused in the anthem of Darul Qasim, we, the students, commit ourselves to uphold a standard of conduct that reflects the noble principles of our esteemed institution.


1. Let Charity and Kindness Guide Your Actions:

In every interaction, practice charity and kindness. Your words and deeds should exude peace and dignity, reflecting the values of our community.

2. Stay True to the Pathway of Knowledge:

Embrace the journey of learning, facing both adversity and ease with resilience. Dedicate yourself to worship Al-Azīz, keeping the pathway of knowledge true and straight.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “To stay the pathway true and straight Throughout adversity and ease To serve with love and dedicate Yourself to worship Al-Azīz”

3. Incline Your Heart and Set Your Mind:

Cultivate a caring heart and a focused mind, free from ill intentions, and always seek to benefit from the good you do.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Incline your heart and set your mind To care for those surrounding you Without the taint of ill design To profit from the good you do.”

4. Serve with Love and Dedication:

Serve others with genuine love and dedication, recognizing the inherent value in acts of kindness and worship. Your service should be a reflection of your commitment to Al-Azīz.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “To serve with love and dedicate Yourself to worship Al-Azīz”

5. Prioritize the Quest for Knowledge:

In all aspects of life, prioritize the quest for knowledge. May Allah raise you when you fall, encouraging a continuous pursuit of learning. Embrace this quest with resilience and seek Allah’s guidance to uplift you in moments of challenges.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “May Allah raise you when you fall In the quest for more knowledge That you may spend your moments, all In the quest for more knowledge To never doubt or hesitate In the quest for more knowledge And answer the Qasimi call In the quest”

6. Practice Azīmah and Reject Compromise:

Uphold the principles of Azīmah, avoiding compromise on matters of principle. The less you sleep, the less you speak, the more you stay away from lies, and let Azīmah be the norm you seek.

7. Relieve Your Heart of Rancor:

Stand against tyranny, let the Sunnah guide you, and keep your heart free from animosity, bitterness & resentfulness, avoiding impermissible actions.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Relieve your heart of rancor, stand Against the might of tyrant’s will The Sunnah be your guiding hand Avoid all things detestable.”

8. Promote Unity and Right the Wrong:

Work towards unity, adapt, and blend with conflicting hearts. Be patient yet firm, and let your actions contribute to righting the wrong.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Align with ease, adapt and blend Be patient yet be firm and strong And let conflicting hearts amend To work as one and right the wrong”

9. Let Worship and Remembrance Decorate Your Heart and Mind:

Decorate your inner self with worship and remembrance, while letting grace and etiquette adorn your outward actions.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Let worship and remembrance deck The chambers of your heart and mind With nūr, while grace and etiquette Adorn you outwardly in kind.”

10. Extend Unconditional Ihsān:

Respond to evil with kindness. Extend unconditional Ihsān, offering aid promptly and embodying the qualities of a true believer. Turn your gaze inward, ignoring flaws not meant for you to find.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Don’t wait to offer aid for that Is what believers do, respond To evil with a kindly act Of unconditional Ihsān”

11. Befriend the Righteous and Be Generous:

Befriend those on the righteous path, be generous, and offer advice with kindness. Maintain trust and loyalty in your relationships.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Befriend the righteous, and depart From them who lead astray and such Bestow advice but break no heart, Receive advice and bear no grudge.”

12. Generosity, Contentment, and Loyal Friendship:

Be generous, be content, and maintain loyalty in friendships. Your wealth is not only material but also the goodwill and trust you earn.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Be generous and be content When there is less to go around Remain a trusted, loyal friend By hands that give but make no sound”

13. Give Equally and Show Love to the Needy:

Give equally to those in need, treat everyone with generosity, and show love to the needy with kind treatment.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Now when you give, give equally To one who needs and one who doesn’t And share your grounds with friends as if It was their own, and never wasn’t.”

14. Remember Every Favor and Return it with a Better Act:

Acknowledge every favor received, return it with gratitude, and strive to outdo it. Reflect on your actions, repent for sins, and strive for self-improvement.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Remember: what you give away Is what you truly own in fact Remember every favor and Return it with a better act.”

15. Reflect, Repent, and Strive for Improvement:

Regularly reflect on your actions, repent for any shortcomings, and strive for continuous improvement. Take account of yourself while on the quest for more knowledge.

Excerpt from the Anthem: “Observe yourself and take account, Repent! Repent your every sin, And while you learn, you strive to earn To keep alive this quest you’re in.”

16. Ascend the Virtuous Incline:

Ascend the high and lonely road of virtue. Forgive when it is hardest, show mercy, and attend your conversations well, measuring each converser to learn and grow.

17. Love Allah and His Prophet Above All:

Love Allah and His Prophet more than anyone or anything. Follow their commands with love and devotion, recognizing that these principles are our guiding light.

As students of Darul Qasim, we pledge to abide by these principles, combining the wisdom of the anthem and the boldness of the honor code. In doing so, we demonstrate our commitment to honor, integrity, and the pursuit of true knowledge.
